The following Common Buckeye butterfly (Junonia coenia) was spotted while exploring the “northern wetland” at Huntley Meadows Park.

Post update: The Common Buckeye is nectaring on Symphyotrichum sp. Thanks to Matt Ryan, Naturalist at Huntley Meadows Park, for identifying the flowering plant shown in the preceding photo.
